A 3RD-GENERATION HEIRLOOM Earlier today, I visited Centre for Research, Information Management and Media Development (CRIMMD). Just so you know: It's the richest private museum + library of Nigeria's history, in Idimu area of Lagos (en route Ikotun). Shortly after my tour, Founder & Curator @drraphaeljames brought out this gem of an artifact -- Ada (ceremonial staff for a title holder in Benin-City) for me to see. I was blown away. It's solid, heavy metal -- excellent artistry and intricate motifs. The museum acquired it last December from the family that owned it for 3 generations. From calculations, It is at least 122 years old. I held on to it for a long time. It felt like I should go home with it. There is plenty to see in here. Go as soon as you can.
