It’s been a year of silent, steady, but ultimately satisfying work. Finally, we’re ready. In a small ceremony, we are launching the pilot of The Joy Hub today. It’s in Surulere, Lagos. The hub ensures that young people from anywhere have a no-judgement space to get mental and emotional health first aid as well as walk into when dealing with mental and emotional health challenges. The operations will be by two excellent NGOs: Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative and Olamma Cares. They are the real stars - they are the experts in the field, who have been working on these issues for years. Joy, Inc. stands here to facilitate this incredible community: ensure collaboration, deepen impact, expand reach and help tell their stories. This is the pilot hub, with many more to come across the region for organisations working in this crucial space (and whose work is evidence-based) to help a continent in need of healing.
